Avast and AVG are by the same company, and share the same technology, which is why both Avast and AVG users are affected.This is not an officially run community but Avast are nice enough to drop by of their own volition.You may need to update Avast manually - instructions for doing that here I recommend doing the "Manually update the Program" which will ensure both your virus definitions and AV programs are up-to-date. To quote an old phrase, "Hello world!" - this is more traffic than this subreddit is used to getting in a month :PĪccording to the official Avast forum this should already be resolved. My Avast shows the last virus defs update as 22:54 UTC. This appears to be already resolved via update - I can't reproduce this issue on a newly installed Google Chrome as of 14 July 2018 22:58 UTC. TL DR: Update Avast, this should resolve the issue.
